The Christian Education New Zealand Foundation Trust (CENZ) was established in 2003 as an umbrella body to provide strategic direction, guidance, support and oversight to the ministry of Home Schooling New Zealand (HSNZ).
HSNZ works to encourage New Zealand families in the education of their own children through the provision of professional educational services, support and advice, the administration and moderation of student work, and the issuing of recognised qualifications.
With the acceptance of the CENZ Level 3 Certificate as an entrance standard ad eundem statum by Universities New Zealand-Te Pōkai Tara in 2017, the role of the Trust has been extended to provide oversight of the administration of the CENZ qualifications.
